SIP 47 Wine Route

While some say get your kicks on Route 66, here in the Tualatin Valley, we say get your sips on Route 47. What we lack in rhyme we make up for in wine, sake, cider and cuisine. Oregon Route 47 runs right through the heart of wine country and is surrounded by some of the most beautiful land in the state.

The Sip 47 Story

Sip47 is a grassroots effort of wineries, farms and businesses along NW Oregon’s Highway 47 who want to share their love of the land and their passion for its bounty with you.

Rudy Marchesi, owner of Montinore Estate, and a collaboration of proud winemakers, farmers, and business owners in the Northern Willamette Valley created the Sip 47 Wine Passport to show off 17 delicious delights along NW Highway 47. For urban dwellers and peace seekers, the Sip 47 route is one of the best ways to escape the city grind for a few days of relaxation in the countryside.

The Route

Sip47 is a group of 17 purveyors of Oregon’s bounty, including wineries, a saké brewery, eateries, a cidery, and a hotel owned by one of the region’s most well-known producers of beer. These local businesses love to open their doors to people traveling the route. Best of all, Sip47 means the closest and finest country attractions to Portland.
