ABV Public House

Despite its location in an unassuming business park, locals and visitors alike have caught wind of the special, yet casual dining experience at ABV Public House. The beer-centric restaurant not only has 34 taps, but also more than 600 bottles of sought-after wines, ciders and beers in the fridges lining the perimeter of the dining area. Of course, the restaurant is just as serious about its food. Order the “50-50 burger” that’s made with half beef and half bacon for a bite that is 100-percent amazing.

Copper River Restaurant and Bar

Founded by the same people as Oswego Grill, The Copper River boasts a similar dedication to in-house recipes. Pair the slow roasted pork ribs with one of the 54 featured craft beers or local wines on hand. Beyond classic dishes, the restaurant offers inventive small bites. We’re suckers for the scratch-made donuts, made with ricotta cheese and house-made caramel sauce.

Cruise In Country Diner

Local is king at the Cruise In Country Diner with its commitment to using local produce and meat. The locavore attitude doesn’t translate into rabbit food, however. Diners will dig into hearty burgers with a never-ending order of fries (seriously, refills are free). As last year’s winner of the Tualatin Valley’s People Choice Award for favorite restaurant, it’s clear that this mix of classic American food with a health focus digests well with its legion of fans.

Davidson’s Casual Dining

Since 1972, Davidson’s Casual Dining has been a mainstay for comfort food in the Tualatin Valley. The house-made root beer is not to be missed. It should come as no surprise that the root beer float is a worthy splurge here, as well. Beyond sweet drinks, favorite dishes here are vast and varied. The homemade cinnamon rolls are a crowd pleaser as is the chicken fried steak. For a lighter bite, the Chinese chicken salad is a surprising crowd favorite.
