Thanksgiving Wine Weekend in the Tualatin Valley

Give thanks to Oregon wine this Thanksgiving with a weekend of special tastings, pairings and festivities. The following wineries in the Tualatin Valley are participating in this annual event. (Hours are for Thanksgiving weekend, November 25-27; check back for updates.)

Beaverton

COOPER MOUNTAIN VINEYARDS
Hours: Friday & Saturday, 11am-5pm; Sunday 12-5pm | Tasting fee: $15
Celebrate Thanksgiving with tastes of Cooper Mountains new releases of its organic and biodynamic estate-grown Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Tocai Fruilano, Pinot Noir and Gamay Noir, served in a logo glass to keep and paired with light appetizers. Enjoy live music Friday and Saturday.

FULLERTON WINES
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $15
Experience Fullerton Wines, only open to the public a few weekends each year, and taste its carefully crafted and treasured Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays.

Cornelius

A BLOOMING HILL VINEYARD & WINERY
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 12-5:30pm | Tasting fee: $10
A Blooming Hill’s annual Open House will feature its estate Pinot Noir, plus white wines and and Ports, paired with abundant treats, live music (Friday and Saturday), and jewelry and select gifts for purchase.

DION VINEYARD
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-4pm | Tasting fee: $15
Enjoy a selection of light snacks, paired with a wine flight, and celebrate the release of the 2014 Estate Chardonnay and Reserve Pinot Noir. GoVino glass included with tasting fee.

Gaston

ELK COVE VINEYARDS
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 10am-5pm \ Tasting fee: $10/$20
Sample Elk Cove Vineyards’ wines crafted from estate-grown grapes. Elk Cove is a second-generation family winery producing 90+ point award winning single vineyard Pinot noirs, Pinot gris, Pinot blanc and Rieslings.

KRAMER VINEYARDS
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $15
Taste new releases of sparkling wines, Pinot noir, Chardonnay, Pinot gris and Müller-Thurgau, and experience two generations of winemaking, more than 30 years of Oregon winegrowing, and warm, family hospitality.

PATTON VALLEY VINEYARD
Hours: Friday-Monday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $10
Stand in the heart of the vineyard and experience a custom flight of Patton Valley’s estate-grown Pinot Noir, and taste five small-production wines alongside stunning views and lively conversation.

Forest Grove

APOLLONI VINEYARDS
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $10, Premium Tasting, $15
Taste Apolloni’s sparkling wine and small-production estate and Italian-style wines. Premium Tasting includes a Pinot Noir vertical tasting in Apolloni’s barrel cave. Cheese and charcuterie plates available for purchase, along with artisan savories and sweets.

DAVID HILL VINEYARDS & WINERY
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $14
Sample estate-grown Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot noir and Port in a etched glass to keep.

MONTINORE ESTATE
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $10
This Thanksgiving, celebrate with Montinore Estate with a flight of six wines, including a lineup of Pinot noir and the newly-released Rosso di Marchesi Italian blend.

The Willamette Valley was named Wine Enthusiast magazine’s “2016 Wine Region of the Year!”

Hillsboro

FREJA CELLARS
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $10-$15
Taste artisan wines, beat the crowds and meet the winemaker. Freja will be pouring new releases and past vintages of  Estate and Reserve Pinot Noirs, as well as the Estate Rosé and a white import from France only found at the winery.

HELVETIA VINEYARDS & WINERY
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $10
Taste the last half-decade of Helvetia Winery’s Pinot Noir from 2011’s La Niña to 2015’s El Niño, complete with food pairings. Renowned Native American artist and jeweler Lillian Pitt will be on-hand from noon to 3pm on Friday and Saturday.

J. ALBIN WINERY
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $10
Visit J. Albin’s home vineyard,  tucked into the Chehalem Mountains, and taste its acclaimed sparkling wines and Pinot Noir, top-of-class Pinot gris, Sauvignon blanc and its small-lot Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and dessert wines, paired with delicious bites.

RAPTOR RIDGE WINERY
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm |  Tasting fee: $15
Join Raptor Ridge and celebrate Thanksgiving with the 2013 Brut Rosé and experience the debut of the 2015 Estate Vineyard Whole Cluster Pinot Noir. Cheese and charcuterie will be available for purchase, and rare and library wines will be poured all weekend.

RUBY VINEYARD & WINERY
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-4:30pm  |  Tasting fee: $15
Enjoy great wine, nice people, beautiful views and a relaxed atmosphere with tastings of premium Pinot Noir from Old Vines (40 year-old, Laurelwood soil), as well as Chardonnay and Rosé of Pinot Gris.

Sherwood

ALLORO VINEYARD
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $15, Reserve Tasting, $25
Taste current releases paired with charcuterie. For the Reserve Tasting, join the winemakers in Alloro’s wine cave for a pre-release tasting of its 2015 Reserve Pinot Noir wines.

BECKHAM ESTATE VINEYARD
Hours: Nov 25-26, 12pm-5pm; Nov 27 12-4pm | Tasting fee: $10
Visit Beckham Estate’s tasting room and ceramic gallery, located on Parrett Mountain, and taste handcrafted, limited production, estate-grown wines–including the newly-released 2014 Pinot Noir and the last of the A.D. Beckham Amphora wines–all paired with local bites.

BLAKESLEE VINEYARD ESTATE
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $15
Savor Blakeslee’s estate-grown, award-winning wines, paired with live music and a gourmet S’more Bar.

HAWKS VIEW CELLARS
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $15
Enjoy Thanksgiving weekend at Hawks View Cellars, which produces award-winning wines sourced from grapes grown at its estate vineyard and from California.
