Apple and Pear Farms

Don’t be fooled by their name, as Smith Berry Barn (map it) also had an apple and pear orchard with more than 20 varieties of apples and six varieties of pears. These sustainably-grown fruits are available for u-pick and ready-picked during apple and pear season. Smith Berry Barn also produces small-batch hard apple cider, made with apples grown on the farm.
Located in Beaverton, Bell’s Orchard (map it) offers u-pick apples and pears. The farm grows seven varieties of apples and five varieties of pears. One of the best features of Bell’s Orchard is their “short” orchards, where no ladders are needed to grab fresh apples off the trees!
Sherwood Orchards (map it) is a 26-acre u-pick fruit orchard that grows more than 80 varieties of apples and four varieties of pears. The orchard is more than 150 years old and is a go-to spot for fresh-picked fruits for locals.
Bays Family Farm (map it) offers u-pick apples and pears (as well as stone fruits) and Mason Hill Orchard (map it) is a self-serve apple stand (cash only) filled with ready-picked apples.
Once you’ve done picking the perfect apples, settle in for a glass of hard cider at 19 Acres Cider Co (map it). This cider company uses apples from a select 19-acres of the farm’s apple orchard to create premium hard ciders, including seasonal flavors which are available at its tasting room in the heart of wine country.
