World of Speed

World of Speed is a new kind of educational, experiential motorsports museum using historic race cars and motorcycles to tell the story of America’s love affair with the automobile and motorsports. It encompasses many aspects of motorsports including drag racing and road racing, land speed racing, motorcycle racing, as well as open wheel and NASCAR. Through interactive exhibits and hands-on activities, such as their race-car driving simulator (where you can drive like a pro for 12 minutes), World of Speed offers visitors a behind-the-scenes view of the world of racing.

New exhibit March 23-November 2, 2019: “Mario Andretti: Racing Royalty.” Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Mario Andretti’s Pike’s Peak and Indianapolis 500 Mile Race wins as well as his success across five decades of racing with a retrospective of his achievements. This exhibit will feature 15 vehicles from 11 different styles of racing, including ones from those 50th-anniversary wins and many more from the span of his storied race career.
