Gales Creek, Oregon: Discover Gorgeous Views and Fine Fishing

Located just outside Forest Grove is Gales Creek, Oregon, a small, unincorporated area of Washington County in the foothills of the Coast Range.

In the 19th century the town was the last stagecoach stop on the way to Tillamook.

Named for pioneer Joseph Gale, who settled here in the late 1800s, as well as the creek that runs through the area, Gales Creek is home to one of the region’s most popular sites, Gales Creek Campground. This rustic campground (open mid-May to October) is situated along Gales Creek, a popular spot for catch-and-release fishing.

In addition to fishing and camping at Gales Creek, this community also has a quaint country store and deli, tree farms, and a winery.
