With Earth Day on April 22, we hope you’ve been brainstorming how to give your home planet some extra love. This month, several Earth Day events and activities are planned, and may inspire new ways to bring green into your every day. 

BEAVERTON

BinaryBrewing.co Presents Pick Up for a Pint
Binary Brewing (Map It)
April 13 | 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Binary Brewing is hosting a community clean up in downtown Beaverton. After the clean-up, participants can celebrate with a free pint.

DURHAM

City of Durham Treed Lot Habitat Restoration 
Durham (Map It)
April 26 | 9:00 a.m.
Help remove ivy and other invasive species to beautify the recreational areas and improve habitat for native plants and creatures. Advance registration is required.

GASTON

Hagg Lake Spring Shoreline Clean-Up
Hagg Lake (Map It)
April 12 | 10:00 a.m.
Be a part of SOLVE’s annual Beach & Riverside Cleanup and help pick up litter along the shoreline of Hagg Lake. The end of summer brings the lowest water levels to the Lake, exposing litter and debris that is easy to remove from the exposed shoreline. Advance registration is required.

HILLSBORO

Earth Day Crafts
Jackson Bottom Wetlands (Map It)
April 19 | 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Create recycled crafts made from re-use materials. This event is free and open to all ages. Supplies are limited and available on a first-come. first-served basis.

SHERWOOD

2025 Sherwood Trashapalooza Earth Day Celebration
Cannery Square (Map It)
April 19 |  10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Celebrate Earth Day with SOLVE and the City of Sherwood.  Oregon Spring Cleanup  (Trashpalooza! Sherwood) features a clean-up and fun events, such as contests (strangest piece of trash, largest piece of trash, etc), prizes and a raffle. Registration is suggested, but not required.

Earth Day Vineyard Walk

Stroll through the Ponzi Vineyard with their Assistant Winegrower and learn about Ponzi’s commitment to sustainable farming and land stewardship. The special Earth Day celebration vineyard walk is included with price of signature tasting.

Earth and Arbor Day Celebration

April 26 | 9-10:30 a.m.
Join in a special Earth and Arbor Day celebration that highlights the crucial role parks and recreation, public works and other community organizations have in creating a more sustainable and eco-friendly future. This free family-friendly event will offer a variety of engaging and educational activities for all ages.

TUALATIN

Tualatin Riverkeepers Earth Day Fair

Join the Tualatin Riverkeepers for their annual Earth Day Fair, a fun-filled celebration of the Tualatin River watershed with activities for the whole family. Participate in a hands-on restoration project, create nature-inspired woodworking projects, learn from experts about conservation and sustainability, experience the beauty of the Tualatin River with a guided river trip and more.
