Tualatin Valley Hosts Oregon Destination Professionals
Tourism professionals from across Oregon gathered in Tualatin Valley last week for the Oregon Destination Association’s annual conference. The two-day event, held at Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Tigard, featured Explore Tualatin Valley as a sponsor, a culinary tourism panel with CMO Claire Fisher, and a closing celebration at Nordic Northwest with Broder Söder fare, Apolloni Vineyards wine and the Ale-paca IPA.

Sherwood has a new reason to raise a glass. BearKat Brewing, a female co-owned, community-focused brewery, is quickly becoming a gathering spot where locals can savor great beer, enjoy elevated bites and connect with friends old and new.
Explore Tualatin Valley Wants To Hear From You!
Washington County residents know the value of living in a beautiful region with a welcoming community. The qualities that attract visitors also make it a great place to call home. Explore Tualatin Valley is launching a resident sentiment survey to gather feedback from Washington County residents to learn how tourism impacts locals and how the industry can continue to benefit both residents and visitors.
Washington County residents, ages 18 and older, can take the survey January 27-February 10. The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete. Participants who complete the survey before the deadline will be entered for a chance to win a four-ticket pack to a Hillsboro Hops baseball game or one of six (6) $100 local gift cards.
Washington County’s thriving tourism industry does more than attract visitors, it plays a pivotal role in driving the local economy. In 2024, tourism generated an economic impact of $836 million. That spending supports local businesses, creates tax revenue and sustains 9,240 jobs in the hospitality and tourism industry.
Tap Season is Live!
Tap Season is in full swing, and we launched the season with a party at Hillsboro Downtown Station on Saturday, January 24th. More than 150 guests came by to sample the official Tap Season beer, the Ale-paca IPA, and taste brews from six of our breweries; take selfies at iHeart Radio’s selfie station and groove to tunes spun by the guest DJ; meet the Tap Season alpacas; and so much more.

ETV welcomes Dylan Welles to the Team
Dylan Welles is Explore Tualatin Valley’s destination representative and a member of ETV’s sales team. He brings more than six years of experience with NW Event Management Group, Inc., where he most recently served as general manager, overseeing operations and sales for NW Events & Environments, NW Events Rentals, NW Catering and The Venetian Hillsboro. Dylan offers a broad background in special and corporate event planning, marketing and venue management, providing valuable insight into the needs of meeting planners and event professionals. He studied at Kent State University before transferring to Pacific University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in film and video production. He also studied abroad at Kansai Gaidai University in Japan.
