Washington County Board of Commissioners Honors National Travel & Tourism Week
At the May 5th Washington County Board of Commissioners meeting, Washington County issued a Proclamation in honor of National Travel & Tourism Week (NTTW), May 3-9, 2026. NTTW is an annual celebration of the U.S. travel industry’s essential role in driving economic growth, job creation and strengthening communities.

Dylan Welles, Explore Tualatin Valley’s Destination Representative made his debut at the HelmsBriscoe ABC Conference in Los Angeles this year — and it did not disappoint!
As one of the largest meeting planner networks in the world, HelmsBriscoe ABC offered invaluable insight into the industry and incredible opportunities to connect with planners, fellow DMOs, and hoteliers from across the country. Experiences like this reinforce why these conferences are so vital to building relationships that bring business to our region.
We were proud to represent Portland alongside an outstanding Oregon delegation, including Travel Portland, Travel Lane County, Brasada Ranch, Explore Tualatin Valley, and our incredible Portland hotel partners. Together, we showed up and showed out for the Pacific Northwest.

Jill Baker Earns Her Professional in Destination Management Certificate
Congratulations to the latest new team member to attain a certificate in Professional in Destination Management (PDM) from Destinations International! Jill Baker, ETV’s sales and services coordinator, completed the PDM certificate program, which is designed for professionals new to the destination organization sector with training of the essential skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the field.

Maloof Wines’s No Clos Radio vineyard is less a traditional winery but a living, breathing experiment in creativity, collaboration and community. The vineyard is tucked into the forested hills of Oregon’s Tualatin Valley in the Tualatin Hills American Viticultural Area.

Celebrate the great outdoors with Explore Tualatin Valley at Tualatin Community Park for a Summer BBQ on Thursday, June 25, from 3-6:30 p.m. Join state and regional outdoor recreation partners for an afternoon of learning, exploring and networking. Participate in a host of fun activities, including a hosted nature walk and a guided paddle along the Tualatin River provided by Tualatin Riverkeepers and Adventures Without Limits.
