Willamette Valley Winery Concerts

Vineyard views make the perfect backdrop for a summertime show. With summer entering its second wave, make time for Willamette Valley Winery Concerts. Below, we’ve detailed a few upcoming events to put on the calendar.

Oak Knoll Winery

The sprawling lawn adjacent to the winery’s tasting room is among our favorite music “venues” in the Portland region. In the summer, Oak Knoll Winery goes all out with a steady calendar of al fresco concerts. The final two Toast to the Tunes concert series (August 8 and 22 at 6 p.m.; $5 per person) welcomes local bands, drool-worthy barbeque and the winery’s signature pours. The only thing you need to bring is a lawn chair and a few friends.

On August 16, Oak Knoll Winery will also host its Country Night with Slicker. The “boots off” country music show is meant for the type of dancing where you can feel the grass under your toes.

A Blooming Hill Vineyard

It’s hard to find a warmer welcome than what you’ll experience at a Blooming Hill Vineyard. From the friendly winery dogs to the sweet-as-can-be owners, the hospitality can’t be beaten. For an extra dose of geniality, hunker down for one of the winery’s concerts (through August 25; free, but tasting fees apply). Again, music styles run the full gamut with Bastille-inspired music one week followed by American folk the next.
