Admittedly, there are always some great wine events happening in Tualatin Valley. It’s a great predicament in which to constantly find oneself. Savvy travelers can plan ahead for a wine weekend in Forest Grove, especially with these three great Willamette Valley wine events happening over the course of August 17 and 18.
Wine Weekend in Forest Grove
Find your nirvana with 75 minutes of yoga at Apolloni Vineyards. The all-levels class is a simple way to honor yourself and the natural world that surrounds you (especially vineyards!). Amplify that post-yoga bliss with a light breakfast and wine tasting—all included in your class cost (August 17 from 9-10 a.m.; $25 per person—reservations required).
After a quiet cool down at a nearby hotel, take a leisurely stroll to Main Street, Forest Grove. The charming downtown transforms into a grand tasting event with local wineries, craft breweries and restaurants showing off their best sips and bites (August 17 from 4-9 p.m.; $10 for admission plus nominal tasting fees).
Enjoy a leisurely afternoon with a Pinot Noir legend, Bill Fuller. The founder of Tualatin Estate invites all wine lovers to join him in celebrating the release of his Estate’s Vintage 44 Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. See the very vineyard blocks that Bill handpicked for this release. The vineyard will be full of merriment via live music, wine tastings and small bites (August 18 from 12-5 p.m.; $35 per person).
If that’s not a triple threat of a weekend, then we don’t know what is. A Forest Grove wine weekend is the perfect way to salute summer.
