Taste delicious treats at these Asian bakeries

Delicious treats are aplenty in Tualatin Valley, but if you’re looking for a unique twist on classic pastries, bread and cakes, visit one of these Asian-inspired bakeries.

Oyatsupan Bakers

Now located at two locations in Tualatin Valley, the Beaverton and Bridgeport Village bakery in Tigard, bring together traditional Japanese and Western baking with a variety of sweet and savory flavors. The popular pastry favorites like the Red Bean Croissant and Choco Chip Melon Pan are baked from scratch daily with fresh ingredients and no preservatives. The menu also has selections of tea sandwiches, bread rolls and soup perfect for lunch.

Tous Les Jours Beaverton

Opening its first Oregon location at Beaverton Town Square in 2019, this bakery chain serves French pastries, some with a Korean twist alongside coffee, tea and fruit smoothies. Grab a tray and tongs as you walk in the front door and select an assortment of pastries to sample from the large display cases. With over 300 different kinds of baked goods including pastries, bread, decadent cakes, and desserts, there is no shortage of flavors here.

Taiwanese-style bakery, 85°C Bakery Cafe specializes in creating gourmet pastries and drinks at affordable prices. The location at Tigard’s Washington Square Mall has over 50 varieties of pastries baked fresh hourly and drinks are handcrafted and individually brewed with Guatemalan coffee beans. Inspired by European, Asian and Danish trades, the bakery creates scrumptious classics like chocolate croissants, egg tarts, cheese strudels and brioche buns.

Beard Papa’s

Japanese bakery Beard Papa’s bakes delicious cream puffs with a variety of cream fillings and flavored shells as well as desserts and custard cream drinks. Customers can mix and match cream puff flavors to create their own unique treat. The location inside Beaverton’s Asian supermarket, Uwajimaya, makes this a great stop to pick up Japanese groceries and gifts in addition to tasty cream puffs.

If you’re looking for a sweet treat or something more savory, these Asian bakeries are open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, making it easy to grab a pastry any time of day.
