Friday Night

Start your date weekend with a Friday night show! Tualatin Valley has a number of professional and community theater companies putting on great productions all year. Check out an interactive performance with Experience Theatre Project or something more traditional like the HART Theatre in Hillsboro. Upcoming theater performances >>>

Spend a romantic night at one of our hotels, several of which offer special deals for a lovers’ getaway.  Ramp up the romance with a bottle of wine, chocolates and more! Lodging options range from boutique hotels to rustic farm stays, so there’s something for everyone.

Spend Saturday out and about! Take in the beautiful sights along the Vineyard and Valley Scenic Tour Route. The 60-mile route showcases some of the best attractions our area has to offer. Take in everything from agriculture to old-time general stores and historic buildings along the way.

While you’re on the road, see how many quilt barns you can spot! Our Quilt Barn Trail features 59 panels installed on farm buildings all over Tualatin Valley. The colorful squares represent themes and images that are significant to the families and businesses at each farm.

Stop by the local favorite South Store Cafe for lunch. The cafe is housed in an adorable historic 100-year-old clapboard building, which was used as a general store in the early 1900s.

You can’t drive the route without stopping at one of the wineries less than one mile off the route. Helvetia Vineyards and Winery is a great choice, with a cozy tasting room and tours to find out about the rich soil and history of the land.

Head into town for dinner in downtown Beaverton, where the food scene has been expanding to include local gems and Portland favorites. Try an authentic Italian meal at decarli, where Chef Paul Decarli shows off Oregon’s best seasonal ingredients. After dinner, head over to Syndicate Wine Bar for a glass of Pinor Noir or grab a beer at Raindrop Taphouse, which features a rotating selection of nearly 30 local craft brews and ciders.

The options are endless to make any weekend a romantic escape with someone special in Tualatin Valley.
