Support Local Businesses with Takeout, Online Shopping

Business owners are doing everything they can to maintain the health and safety of their employees and customers so people can still enjoy what the area has to offer and support local businesses.

In the wake of new measures to slow the spread of COVID-19 in Oregon and beyond, small businesses are being resourceful to serve customers. Many small businesses in Tualatin Valley are staying open by offering carry out, delivery and online shopping. Some shops are even getting creative with sales via Instagram stories!

Many of our restaurants, tap houses and wineries are changing how they operate to accommodate customers in whatever way they can. Even places that have never offered takeout or delivery options are making it happen. You can get growlers filled, food to-go and wine delivered!

If you don’t want to dine out now but still want to support local businesses, it’s a great time to buy a gift certificate to use later or give to a friend. The Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce also introduced a “virtual tip jar” system, which you can contribute to here >>>

Another way you can enjoy Tualatin Valley is to get outside. Health officials want people to enjoy nature while practicing the recommended hygiene practices. If the area you’re visiting gets too crowded, there are many other parks and natural areas in Tualatin Valley to enjoy. Oregon State Parks have been closed due to overcrowding during this time.
