Virtual Events to Join from Home

The order to Stay Home, Save Lives is still in effect in Oregon, meaning events and activities have been cancelled. If you’re missing your weekly trivia night or favorite winery’s tasting room — check out one of these virtual events you can participate while social distancing at from home.

Trivia

The trivia organizers who usually bring trivia to various bars and restaurants in the Portland area have unfortunately had to change how they operate due to dining room closures.

Stumptown Trivia Hosts, like Graham and Casey, stream from home on Facebook Live for these virtual events. They read the trivia questions and participants answer remotely and keep track of their own scores. Trivia games played at local bars and restaurants usually have prizes, but the Facebook live versions are just a fun and creative way to connect while social distancing.

The hosts accept donations via Venmo, Cashapp or PayPal

The 649 Taphouse usually hosts Jeopardy-style trivia nights every Tuesday, but they’ve adapted by creating an online system to stream the hosts and game board and let players chat with their teams from afar. Virtual Buzzed!

Socially Distant trivia games will be Thursdays at 7 p.m. Learn more >>>
