Go Wine Tasting
Savor the tastes of Tualatin Valley this Labor Day weekend at some of Oregon’s most esteemed wineries. Soak in the last rays of summer while you sip away the day sampling wine from our many estate wineries located in either of the Tualatin Valley’s two viticultural areas, Tualatin Hills and Laurelwood District. \
Visit a Farm
As berry season winds down, apples and pears are starting to ramp up. Oregon Heritage Farms, which grows different varieties of apples, opens for the season August 28th. Smith Berry Barn and Sherwood Orchards have pears and apples for u-pick, while Hoffman Farms still has some berries available. (Please check crop availability before heading out)
Take the Scenic Route
Tualatin Valley has an abundance of wide open spaces, where there are plenty of opportunities to take in the picturesque sites of the region. Travel along one of these designated scenic routes and get lost in Oregon’s Tualatin Valley. Explore the painted quilt barns along the Tualatin Valley Quilt Barn Trail or travel through the rural landscapes of the Vineyard and Valley Scenic Tour Route.

Hillsboro Hops Baseball | Tuesday, August 31- Sunday, September 5
Experience the excitement of live baseball in a home-town setting with the Hillsboro Hops. Catch the two “home” teams, the Hops and the Vancouver Canadians, August 24-29. (Thursday is craft beer night, in celebration of Portland Craft Beer Week!) The Hops’ final home game of the regular season is against the Eugene Emeralds. Celebrate the close of the season with a fireworks extravaganza, September 3-4.
Our Table Farm: Field Farm Dinner | Saturday, September 4
Enjoy an evening of good food and wine at Our Table in the Field Farm Dinner. The four-course farm dinner will feature seasonal ingredients with wine pairings. Cost: $110 per person
Sundown Grand Ol’ Country Festival at the Grand Lodge | Monday, September 6
Wind down the three-day weekend at McMenamins Grand Lodge. The country festival returns for 2021 with headlining artists, Jimmie Allen, Parmalee, and LoCash. McMenamins will have food and beverage specials, spirit tastings, and a western marketplace.
