Oregon International Air Show
Canadian Forces Snowbirds Headline This Year’s Show
Mark your calendars for the Oregon International Air Show, September 28-30, 2018. This annual event is a crowd-pleaser with three days of aviation celebration.
Revel in the spectacular sights of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds 431 Air Demonstration Squadron as they perform awe-inspiring formations and maneuvers. Based in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada, the Snowbirds go through intensive preparation and training to bring their show to air shows throughout the U.S. and Canada. Don’t miss this squad’s only Oregon performance!
In addition to the Snowbirds, see many spectacular military planes in flight, including an A-10 Thunderbolt and the Oregon Air National Guard’s own F-15 Eagle. The United States Special Operations’ Command Parachute Team returns this year, as does ’40s-style musical group Ladies for Liberty, and so much more. Also view aerial performances and ground displays, all celebrating the world of aviation.
Want to take flight in a B-25 World War II bomber? Take a living history ride in this historic plane, nicknamed “Grumpy,” for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Rides are $495 and tickets are limited.
As always, the Air Show kicks off with a Friday Night Fireworks show, which is one of the best of its kind in Oregon.
