Summer Events to Travel For

It’s never too early to plan your summer vacation. Here are some of the top events of the summer that are worthy of an overnight stay in Tualatin Valley.

Farm-to-Table Dinners (various dates)
Tualatin Valley’s rich agricultural lands provide a bounty of fresh farm-to-table goodness. So, it only makes sense that our farms and wineries celebrate our cornucopia of berries, grapes and produce with farm dinners throughout the summer.

Drink Pink Rosé Festival (July 13)
Several of the Willamette Valley wine region’s finest wineries showcase their Rosé wines at the annual Drink Pink Rosé Festival. Held annually at Patton Valley Vineyard, this festival celebrates this quintessential summer wine.

Northwest String Summit (July 18-21)
The Pacific Northwest’s premier acoustic music festival, Northwest String Summit, returns to Horning’s Hideout in North Plains. Groove to some of the best bluegrass and Americana bands, while enjoying the rural and rustic beauty of the region.

Concours d’Elegance (July 21, 2019)
Car lovers rejoice! The annual Concours d’Elegance is the region’s premier car show, featuring rare and unique cars from around the globe. In 2019, the Concours celebrates 120 years of Packard Motorcars. Packard was an American luxury automobile brand from 1899 to 1958. These beautiful autos exemplify class and style in the early to mid-20th Century. Tickets are $7-20.

Canines Uncorked (August 3, 2019)
Canines Uncorked—the only wine event in the Willamette Valley where guests are encouraged to bring their furry friends—is Tualatin Valley’s premier wine tasting event. Wine lovers and dog lovers will enjoy a day of wine tastings and hands-on dog-related activities at 15 participating wineries. Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 the day of the event. Cheers to a wonderful cause, too, as proceeds benefit the Oregon Humane Society.

Faerieworlds-A Gathering of Tribes (August 23-25)
Now in its 16th year of providing music and art-based entertainment, Faerieworlds is the world’s largest faerie festival. This one-of-a-kind fest returns to Horning’s Hideout, the region’s most beautiful and celebrated outdoor venue, for three days of extraordinary live music and performance, amazing art and crafts, and fantasy fun for the whole family.
