Thanksgiving Wine Weekend in the Tualatin Valley

Give thanks to Oregon wine this Thanksgiving with a weekend of special tastings, pairings and festivities. The following wineries in the Tualatin Valley are participating in this annual event. (Hours are for Thanksgiving weekend, November 23-25, 2018; more wineries will be added as events are announced)

Beaverton Area

COOPER MOUNTAIN VINEYARDS
Hours: Saturday-Sunday, 11am-4:30pm; Sunday 12-5pm | Tasting fee: $20
Celebrate the season at this off-the-beaten path winery that took root in the Willamette Valley 40 years ago. Enjoy a Pinot Noir comparative flight, new release wines, balsamic tasting, small bites and live music. Holiday preferred pricing on wines all weekend.

HAMACHER WINES
Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $25
Kick off the holiday season with a special extended flight paired with yummy light bites.

Cornelius

A BLOOMING HILL VINEYARD & WINERY
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5:30pm | Tasting fee: $10
A Blooming Hill’s annual Open House will feature a six-year vertical tasting of its estate Pinot Noir, plus white wines and and Ports. Don’t miss the Pinot Noir ice cream from Great NW Ice Cream Co.

DION VINEYARD
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-4pm | Tasting fee: $15
Enjoy a selection of light snacks, paired with a wine flight, and celebrate the release of the 2016 Estate Chardonnay and Reserve Pinot Noir.

Gaston

ELK COVE VINEYARDS
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 10am-5pm \ Tasting fee: $20
Elk Cove is hosting the Wallow Gallery artists on Saturday with a reception, wine tasting and live music. Sample the winery’s exclusive single-vineyard Pinot Noirs and white wines throughout the holiday weekend.

KRAMER VINEYARDS
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $15
Join the Kramer family for warm family hospitality and taste through the new fall releases, as well as sparkling wines, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Celebrate more than 30 years of winemaking at this second-generation winery.

PATTON VALLEY VINEYARD
Hours: Friday-Monday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $20
Stand in the heart of the vineyard and experience a special flight of Patton Valley’s estate-grown Pinot Noir. Stop by the Holiday Market, featuring local craft and food vendors on Friday and Saturday.

PLUM HILL VINEYARDS
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $10-15
Enjoy tastes of 10 different wines paired with various breads and different blends of Sciabaca olive oils and balsamic vineyards. For an additional $5, try a Pinot Gris vertical tasting. Plum Hill is dog friendly!

Forest Grove

APOLLONI VINEYARDS
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $20
Celebrate the end of harvest with Vino Novello! Young and fruity, this Italian take on Beaujolais Nouveau is the first look at the 2018 harvest, available in growlers Thanksgiving weekend only. Tour our barrel cave and enjoy Pinot noir and Italian-style wines.

DAVID HILL VINEYARDS & WINERY
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $18
Sample estate-grown wines, including the newly released 2016 Estate Winemaker Cuvee, in a special etched glass.

MONTINORE ESTATE
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $10
This Thanksgiving, celebrate with Montinore Estate with a special reserve flight featuring Estate and single block bottlings.

Hillsboro Area

FINNIGAN HILL VINEYARD
Hours: Saturday-Sunday, 12pm-4pm | Tasting fee: $5-$20
Finnigan Hill Vineyard is opening its beautiful barn to the public for Thanksgiving weekend, offering two types of tasting flights that highlight their Pinot Noir.

FREJA CELLARS
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $15
Don’t miss the rare chance to visit Freja Cellars’ tasting room. Taste the wines from this high-elevation vineyard on the Chehalem mountains, including the estate and reserve Pinot Noirs, library wines, Rosé, and delicious white wines (both estate grown and imported). Some small bites and tasting glass included.

OAK KNOLL WINERY
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11 am-5pm
Oak Knoll has teamed up with five artisans for a weekend of wine and shopping. Sample wine, purchase food and peruse the hand-crafted wares of local vendors.

RAPTOR RIDGE WINERY
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm |  Tasting fee: $15
Join Raptor Ridge and celebrate Thanksgiving with the 2014 Brut Rosé and 2015 Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir, as well as new releases, including the 2016 Gran Moraine Chardonnay and the 2017 Auxerrois.

RISDALL RANCH WINERY
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm
This Thanksgiving, Risdall Ranch will be sampling holiday wine essentials, including a crisp and spiced Gewürztraminer and a rich “Autumn Harvest” Riesling.  Light snacks will be provided. While visiting, browse the thousands of unique ornaments and holiday decor at the Christmas Store at Risdall Ranch.

RUBY VINEYARD & WINERY
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm  |  Tasting fee: $15
Relax in Ruby Vineyard’s warm, cozy tasting room and enjoy meatballs in Pinot Noir and cranberry sauce while sampling award winning Pinot Noirs, including the 2018 Pinot Noir Nouveau, along with Pinot Gris, Rosé of Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay.

SIX PEAKS (formerly  J. ALBIN WINERY)
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $10
From the Albin family of J. Albin Winery, comes a new venture: Six Peaks. Visit the vineyard nestled in the Chehalem Mountains for high-quality Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and luscious sparkling wine.

Sherwood

ALLORO VINEYARD
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $20-35
Taste current releases paired with charcuterie, or join the winemakers in Alloro’s wine cave for a pre-release tasting of its 2017 Reserve Pinot Noir wine and a special library release.

BECKHAM ESTATE VINEYARD
Hours: Friday-Saturday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $20
Take home the newly released 2016 Pinot Noirs and A.D. Beckham Amphora wines all paired with local bites.

BLAKESLEE VINEYARD ESTATE
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5pm | Tasting fee: $20
Savor Blakeslee’s estate-grown, award-winning wines with a flight of Pinot Noir, Rose, Chardonnay, Riesling, and a curated large-format pour, paired with tasty tidbits.

HAWKS VIEW CELLARS
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-7pm | Tasting fee: $20
Enjoy Thanksgiving weekend at Hawks View Cellars with a tasting of six wines while savoring stunning views of Mt. Hood. Charcuterie plates available for purchase.

PONZI VINEYARDS
Hours: Friday-Sunday, 11am-5:30pm | Tasting fee: $20-60
Relax fireside and sample Ponzi’s favorite wines for the holidays. Enjoy a private tasting (by reservation only; $60 per person) in “The Laurelwood” hospitality space, or an elevated flight of rare wines ($40 per person), or a flight of Ponzi’s signature wines ($20 per person).
