Hidden Creek Park West in Hillsboro is an inclusive and accessible park and playground for all abilities. The playground has safe, specialized equipment with its main draw, the 50-foot long “friendly” forest giant, Oro, made of cedar.
In Tigard, the playground at Cook Family Park includes an inclusive play structure that is fun for all abilities. It is the largest inclusive playground in Oregon and features many “firsts” and sets the standard for inclusivity for future parks.
Anna & Abby’s Yard, located in Forest Grove, is an accessible and inclusive playground with a fairy theme, which includes a giant wood-carved dragon. The playground, which was constructed with community support, celebrates the lives of two sisters who were tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident in front of their home.
Mountain View Champions Park, in Aloha, features fully accessible fields and playground equipment. The inclusive play area and sports field was built with input from people experiencing disabilities and includes wide-access paved paths, soft slopes and no steps.
Outdoors In is an indoor park experience with a full-size play structure, 16-foot bouldering wall, whole-body gaming system and a wide variety of toys and games. The playground offers special sensory-sensitive play, designed to accommodate those who seek a quieter and calmer play atmosphere, on select days and times.
