The 16-acre nursery boasts more than 300 types of bamboo, specializing in hardy clumping species and hardy giant timber bamboos. Bamboo Garden has supplied bamboo for many large commercial landscaping projects, including Portland Classical Chinese Garden, Portland Japanese Garden, Oregon Zoo, and the Asia Trail at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C.
