City of Durham

Durham is a small city, less than a half-square-mile in size, and with a population of 1,400. The city sits between the cities of Tigard and Tualatin.

The Fanno Creek Greenway Trail connects Cook Family Park with Durham City Park and continues to the Tualatin Community Park.

Trees and the preservation of natural spaces are important to the residents of Durham. About 50 acres of land within city limits are designated as parks or green spaces, and the city has a tree ordinance, which requires a permit to remove trees greater than five inches in diameter and two feet above the ground.
