City of Hillsboro

Take family farms, wineries, and educational centers. Add high-tech headquarters and state-of-the-art health care. Stir. Enjoy. Innovation, high-tech, and creative urban gathering places meet hometown values, green spaces, and family-friendly tradition. That’s Hillsboro, Oregon.

Nestled in the Tualatin Valley between Portland and the Pacific Ocean, Hillsboro was founded in 1842 and incorporated in 1876. Hillsboro is Oregon’s fifth largest city with over 100,000 residents and is home to over 1,500 acres of designated green spaces, including the Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve. Hillsboro is also home to many events and festivals, as well as the annual International Air Show and the Hillsboro Hops baseball team. On any given day, you’ll find things to do from free concerts and art exhibits to local produce to sports competitions at one of the city’s 28 parks. Great gathering spaces abound here, both in Historic Downtown Hillsboro and at the award-winning Orenco Station neighborhood, where you can enjoy farmers’ markets and easy access to public transportation.

City offices are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
