Situated in northwestern Washington County, just off Highway 26, the main route between Portland and the Oregon Coast, the small city of North Plains packs quite a punch. The city attracts throngs of sports enthusiasts and thrill seekers who flock to the area for its collection of activities, such as biking, disc golf, zip-line park and glider plane rides.
North Plains (population 2,000) is surrounded by lush farmland and is home to one of Oregon’s most notable golf courses, Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club. The city’s main street features a wine tasting room as well as an antique shop and tavern.
