The Sherwood Center for the Arts is the centerpiece of the city of Sherwood’s arts and culture community, and is an event center and gathering space for the residents and visitors. The Gallery features local and regional artists. In addition to showcasing art in its gallery, the center also hosts a quarterly Arts Walk and a host of workshops and other arts programming.
The art gallery is open to the public Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The center offers first-class facilities for events from large scale banquets and full stage productions to intimate meetings. This versatile facility can accommodate a wide variety of floor plans and styles for different types of events. The Main Hall can accommodate 200 comfortably in a banquet hall, or can be transformed into a fully operational theater with retractable, raked seating to fit 420 audience members. The open and art-filled Lobby is a great location for an intimate lecture or cocktail party which can spill out onto the beautiful front patio. Classrooms may be used for meetings and trainings. Equipment and furniture that may be rented directly from the facility.
