Shochicalli Wellness & Art with the support of Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) is hosting a free family friendly event that includes culturally specific resources, vendors, and activities.
The Sempoashochitl flowers (Marigold) is a meaningful plant for the Anahuaca culture- native to what is known today as México. The Sempoashochitl Festival happens when the flower is harvested and many dishes, soups and teas can be made with the petals and leaves. The Sempoashochitl Festival is a time to celebrate life and nature. The event features vendors (arts and crafts), food vendors, and a variety of performances and one community altar.

La flor de Sempoashochitl (Marigold) es una planta muy significativa para la cultura Anáhuaca, originaria de lo que hoy se conoce como México. El Festival de Sempoashochitl se celebra cuando se cosecha la flor, y se pueden hacer muchos platillos, sopas y tés con los pétalos y hojas. El Festival de Sempoashochitl es un momento para celebrar la vida y la naturaleza. El evento contará con vendedores (artesanías), vendedores de comida, una variedad de presentaciones y un altar comunitario.
