Michele VanKleef, a soulful, dynamic, classically-trained vocalist (formerly with the PNW’s, popular, touring troubadours, Calobo), has released two groove-based, melodic, lyrical solo albums under her own name;
- After All (released in 2012, featuring performances by legendary bassist, Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel), Nate Query (The Decemberists), and mixed by two-time Grammy winner, Tchad Blake (Sheryl Crow, Los Lobos). Several tracks from After All were used as in-house music in Starbucks coffee houses worldwide!
- Your Own Way (released in 2015, with stunning album performances by Tim Ellis (Craig Carothers, Brian Dunning), Mike Braun (Hall & Oates, Graham Parker), Troy Welstad (Pink, Hilary Duff), rock violinist Aaron Meyer, and Michele’s former Calobo bandmate, Caleb Klauder.
Van Kleef has had her music placed in several films and tv shows. Her song "Willing" was featured globally in the film trailer for the Johnny Cash biopic, "Walk the Line”.
