What is Boba or Bubble Tea?

Boba tea, which is also called bubble tea or milk tea, originated in Taiwan and is made with milk, tea, water, sugar and tapioca pearls. These teas may be served hot or cold, and comes in many flavors and may include fruit infusions.

The following is a list of only-in-Oregon boba tea shops that specialize in boba teas.

Bubble N Tea (Beaverton) crafts exceptional bubble teas from high-quality ingredients. Their small but mighty menu features classic staples, such as Thai tea, and it’s their seasonal drinks that keep the menu fresh.

Tea & Tea (Beaverton) is a family-owned shop deeply-rooted into the local community. They specialize in “Tiger Boba” and “TNT”—a blend of mango, strawberry and peach—in-house specialties that have earned them significant acclaim.

Bubble Bubble Tea (Beaverton) was founded by a Taiwanese woman who studied with experts and learned how to brew the best tea to make an authentic cup of bubble tea.

Chen Fu Bubble Tea (Hillsboro) is an unassuming shop in downtown Hillsboro and is rated as one of the top bubble tea shops in the region. The menu includes many fruit bubble teas, such as banana, avocado and lychee.
