Tualatin Valley Honors America’s Veterans for Their Service
Several events throughout the valley are recognizing Veterans throughout the weekend with special events and discounts.
November 8-10
Dauntless Wine Co. Veterans Day Celebration | Dauntless Wine Company | Map It!
Dauntless Wine Company, a Veteran-owned wine company, is hosting its annual Veterans Day Celebration & US Marine Corps Birthday at Dauntless’ tasting room in downtown Forest Grove.
Schedule of events:
- Friday, Nov. 8, 6-9 p.m.: Live music by Marine Corp veteran and his band, Tequila Daydream
- Saturday, Nov. 9, 6-9 p.m.: Live music by veteran Rand Brown
- Sunday, Nov. 10, 1-8 p.m.: USMC birthday celebration featuring live music from Jason Sequi, 5-8 p.m. and cake cutting at 6:30 p.m.
All veterans and members of the armed forces will receive 20% off all wine, beer and cider and 10% off on merchandise.

Veterans Day Topgolf Tournament | Top Golf | Map It!
Spend the day in a fun and competitive atmosphere, earn prizes, compete in a hole-in-one challenge and more, all while supporting veterans. This first-ever Veterans Day Topgolf Tournament will benefit Northwest Battle Buddies, an organization dedicated to providing professionally trained service dogs to Veterans battling the symptoms of PTSD. 1-4 p.m.
Monday, November 11 (Veterans Day)
Veteran’s Day Recognition Bunch | Sherwood Center for the Arts | Map It!
Join the City of Sherwood for this annual event honoring all veterans for their service and dedication to our Nation. A light brunch will be offered for veterans and their guests. The event will also showcase musical entertainment by the Tristan Weitkamp Jazz Trio and the Sherwood Mixolydians. This event is free and open to the public. 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
“Buffalo Soldiers Fighting on Two Fronts” | Patricia Reser Center for the Arts | Map It!
The Reser will be screening the film, “Buffalo Soldiers: Fighting on Two Fronts,” which explores the often-contradictory role played by the Black soldiers throughout American history, with particular emphasis on the settling of the American West and colonialism abroad. By combining many diverse perspectives, the film examines the profound and often-contradictory roles played in American history by The Buffalo Soldiers and how they fought on two very different front lines: military conflicts abroad and civil rights struggles at home. Tickets are $6 and may be purchased online. 7 p.m.
