From earning a Gold Summit Creative Award and attending media and sales appointments to investing in destination and event developments and earning a River Champion recognition, this month is full of the spirit of partnerships.

ORGANIZATION UPDATES

What a month it’s been! Explore Tualatin Valley has been out and about and sharing the word about Tualatin Valley!

  • ETV won a 2024 Gold Award from Summit Creative for “Complete Branding Campaign” for “Near & Dear” campaign.

  • ETV invested $1 million toward the funding for the development of a campground at Scoggins Valley Park and Hagg Lake.

  • The Tualatin Riverkeepers awarded ETV with its 2024 River Champion Award.

  • Sylke Neal-Finnegan, vice president of communications and public relations, had one-on-one pitch meetings with 28 travel writers during the annual Travel & Words Conference in Tacoma, Washington.

September: A Busy Month for ETV Sales

Tour & Travel Market

Wendy Popkin, ETV’s vice president of sales, co-hosted a familiarization trip with Travel Oregon for 14 agents from prominent Belgian tour operator, Joker.  The company’s product manager  was impressed and marveled, “We didn’t know all that Tualatin Valley has to offer our clients, and we’re eager to collaborate to bring more travelers here.”

Corporate & Association Group Segments

ETV is committed to raising awareness of our region’s meeting and event facilities. In September, ETV partnered with Meeting Professionals International (MPI) to sponsor scholarships for two event planners to join the professional organization. The awards were presented at an MPI/Society of Government Planners/Oregon Business Travel Association meeting.

ETV Celebrates Our First Round FY25 Inspiration Award Recipients

Explore Tualatin Valley congratulations to the recipients of our first round of Inspiration Awards, which is ETV’s new strategic grant program.

These awards are part of ETV’s new strategic investment program, which provides cash awards for inspirational events that align with ETV’s mission and vision.

Travel Oregon 2024 Industry Partner Survey

Travel Oregon is seeking input from people who work in or interact with Oregon’s tourism industry. Information collected through the survey will help Travel Oregon and regional partners determine strategic direction, make funding and programmatic decisions in marketing, grants, tourism-related infrastructure, visitor management and more. Survey results will be shared on Travel Oregon’s industry site in Spring 2025.
