This is working document reflects the recommendations from the three-year Strategic Plan that was approved in 2023, and offers a preview of upcoming campaigns, sales missions and partner events and opportunities that ETV will focus on over the next 12 months.

Get AI-Ready: What Planners Now Expect from Group Webpages
In June, ETV’s Vice President of Sales, Wendy, attended Meeting Professionals International’s World Education Congress—an event that drew 1,000 group planners. A key takeaway? AI is rapidly changing how planners search for and select venues.
Wendy earned MPI’s new AI-Enhanced Event Professional Certification, where she collaborated with potential client planners to use AI tools to compare destinations and plan a multi-day convention. Her biggest insight: planners—and AI platforms—now expect more from group sales content.
To show up in tools like Google’s Gemini, venue and hotel websites should, at the minimum, include:
- Detailed, interactive floor plans with seating capacities by setup
- High-quality photos and videos of group spaces set in multiple layouts
- Clear tech capabilities (e.g., AV, hybrid-ready)
- Testimonials and case studies from past group clients
- Proximity details to group-friendly dining and offsite venues
