SATW Wrap Up

Sylke Neal-Finnegan, ETV’s vice president of communications and public relations, recently met with travel writers and other destination organizations at the SATW annual conference, which was held in Detroit.  SATW is a professional organization composed of travel writers, editors, digital content creators, and DMO public relations professionals. Members meet annually for one-on-one meetings, professional development sessions and networking opportunities.

“This conference is invaluable because it not only gives ETV the opportunity to introduce the Tualatin Valley to new travel writers, but also to reconnect with travel writers who have shown interest in writing about Tualatin Valley in the past,” said Neal-Finnegan.

Explore Tualatin Valley Welcomes “Wonder Windows” Public Art Installation at Henry Hagg Lake

Created by artist Emily Jung Miller, the “Wonder Windows” 18-panel art exhibit blends ecology and art to celebrate the natural beauty of Scoggins Valley Park. The project features 18 vibrant, six-foot-tall double-sided transparent panels, each illustrating the interconnected ecosystems of the lake. Supported by Explore Tualatin Valley with funding from Travel Oregon’s Regional Cooperative Tourism Program and Washington County Parks, the project is undergoing installation and expected to be completed by mid-October.
