This month-long observance showcases local wineries, unique tasting experiences and seasonal pours and winery events, and marks the return of the fourth annual Pink! Rosé Festival wine tasting event. New this year, an interactive wine passport and exclusive guided experiences have been added to the growing list of activities.
The 2025 Tap Season Tapped Into Success
Tap Season, ETV’s month-long promotion of Tualatin Valley’s craft beer and cider producers and taprooms, was a resounding success.
Check out the Tap Season Marketing & PR Recap for a complete rundown of Tap Season, including the marketing, advertising and media results, Ale Trail passport data and more.
Highlights of the February 2025 included:
- The “Ale-Paca IPA” collaboration brew, spearheaded by Josh Johnson (Binary Brewing), Chris Sjolin (Cooper Mountain Ale Works) and Alex Kircher (Golden Valley Brewery)
- The introduction of “Dale the Ale-Paca,” Tap Season’s “spokes animal”
- Ale-Paca pop-up events at local breweries and events in Portland, such as the Portland Night Market, Winter Light Festival and even a Winterhawks game
- The return of the Ale Trail Passport, featuring 40 participating breweries, cideries and taprooms
Thank you to all of the partners who helped make Tap Season a success!
Our Partners Take the Gold – We’ll Cheers to That!
It’s award season and a few of Tualatin Valley craft beverage makers have taken home gold!
Portland-based Steeplejack Brewing Company, which has a location in Hillsboro, earned a gold medal in the Coffee and Smoke Beers category for its “Amelia” Grodziskie, a highly-carbonated smoke beer.
Milwaukie-based Breakside Brewery, which has a Beaverton location, also earned a Gold in the Strong Wood- & Barrel-Aged Beers category for its “La Maison du Bang!,” a barrel-aged barleywine aged in spirits casks.
Cornelius winery Sidereus Vineyard & Winery earned several awards in the Savor Northwest Wine Competition, including three Double Gold Medals for three of its Pinot Noir, two Gold Medals for its Tempranillo and red blend, and two Silver Medals for its Pinot Gris and Chardonnay.
Oregon Media Marketplace
Last month, Sylke Neal-Finnegan, vice president of communications and public relations, attended the Oregon Media Marketplace, a gathering of 60 domestic and international travel writers. Guests were treated to a sample of Oregon stories from each of the seven regions of the state. In addition to Sylke, Tualatin Valley also was represented by Elisabeth Bueschen-Monahan, co-owner of Fraga Farm, Eric Keppler, of Stache Chocolate, and a “surprise” appearance from two of our Tualatin Valley Ale-Pacas.

Local Government Grants for outdoor park & recreation facilities
The Local Government Grant, administered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, is open for application. Eligible projects must include public outdoor park and recreation areas and facilities that are open and accessible to the public at large. Large grants are due April 1, small grants on May 1 and planning grants are due May 15. Typically, the program awards over $5 million annually to qualified projects, and has awarded over $60 million in grant funding since the program began in 1999.
