Explore Tualatin Valley Announces Recipients of its Tualatin Valley Inspiration Event Grant Award

The Strategic Investment Grant Awards Inspirational Events That Will Inspire Travel to Tualatin Valley, Ore.

BEAVERTON, Ore. (June 17, 2024) – Explore Tualatin Valley (ETV), the destination marketing organization that markets Washington County, Ore., as a travel designation, announced today the first recipients of its new Tualatin Valley Inspiration Event Grant Award. This award is part of a new strategic investment program, providing cash awards for inspirational events that align with ETV’s mission and vision, as detailed in its Strategic Plan. A total of $25,000 was awarded to events held in Washington County.

  • North Plains Elephant Garlic Festival

“These strategic investment awards celebrate events that not only inspire and engage our local community but also attract visitors to discover the unique charm and vibrant culture of Tualatin Valley, Oregon,” said Dave Parulo, president and CEO of Explore Tualatin Valley. “We are proud to support initiatives that showcase our region as a premier travel destination.”

The Tualatin Valley Inspiration Event Grant Award is a competitive award providing sponsorships or support of up to $5,000 for events and marketing. A total of $25,000 will be awarded each application cycle. In addition to the cash awards, ETV will promote these events via its own channels, including tualatinvalley.org, its social media pages and e-newsletters.

To be eligible, events must be open to the public, located in Washington County, Ore., and organized by a non-profit 501(c) organization, confederated tribes connected to Tualatin Valley, or a government entity in Washington County.

The first application cycle closed on May 31. Upcoming application deadlines for the Tualatin Valley Inspiration Event Awards are August 31, 2024, and February 28, 2025.
