Explore Tualatin Valley Accepting Applications for Tourism Signage

New Program Aims to Increase Tourism to Washington County’s Tourism Businesses

Beaverton, Ore. (Dec. 29, 2025) — Explore Tualatin Valley, the destination marketing organization (DMO) for Oregon’s Washington County, is now accepting applications for its one-time grant program designed to help eligible tourism-related businesses increase visibility and attract visitors through participation in Oregon’s Travel Information Council (OTIC) Highway Business Sign Program.

The ETV Tourism Sign Grant Program is a competitive, reimbursement-based award providing up to $2,500, depending on the type of signage approved. Applicants must receive approval with the OTIC before applying for this grant program.

This program was created to help tourism businesses overcome the cost barriers of highway signage while strengthening Tualatin Valley’s visibility as a visitor destination. Highway business signs play a critical role in capturing travelers already on the road and guiding them to local attractions and experiences.

“This grant is about removing barriers and amplifying visibility for the businesses that power our tourism economy,” said Dave Parulo, president and CEO of Explore Tualatin Valley. “We know that many visitors are already traveling through Tualatin Valley; they just don’t always know what’s here. Strategic highway signage helps convert pass-through traffic into meaningful visitor experiences, bringing more people, and more spending, into Washington County.”

Applications will be accepted December 30, 2025, through June 12, 2026. Businesses that received OTIC signage approval between July 1-December 31, 2025, also may be eligible for reimbursement.

Eligible businesses include nonprofit organizations, confederated tribes and for-profit businesses. Organizations and businesses must be based in Washington County, Ore.

Full guidelines and additional details, including eligibility requirements and frequently asked questions, are available online.

Funding for this program comes in part by Travel Oregon through the Regional Cooperative Tourism Program (RCTP).
