Toys & Games
When it comes to toys and games, Tualatin Valley has got you covered. From board games to books, our retail shops make it easy (and fun) to shop.
Tualatin Valley’s best-kept secret is Piccolo Mondo Toys. With three locations–all in Tualatin Valley!–this family-owned local toy store stocks innovative toys for all ages from around the world, while encouraging cultural awareness.
Looking for board games? Tualatin Valley has three board game shops that are sure to have that elusive board game you are searching for.
- Versus (or VS for short) carries modern board games, as well as Legos and puzzles. While you won’t find traditional board games here, you will find a selection of some of the newest games available.
- Rainy Day Games is the go-to for party games and puzzles (as well as numerous other games). Despite the shop’s name, this game shop also stocks supplies for disc golf, which can be played rain or shine.
- Located in downtown Hillsboro, the mystical sounding Rune and Board specializes in miniatures, role-playing and strategy games.
For the booklover on your shopping list, shop the extensive inventory at the venerable independent bookshop Powell’s Books, which has a brick-and-mortar location right here in Tualatin Valley at Cedar Hills Crossing. Or check out the curated books, plus a bunch of gadgets and gizmos at Washington Square’s Amazon Books, Oregon’s only brick-and-mortar Amazon shop.
As always, shopping in Oregon’s Tualatin Valley is tax-free, so while visiting you may want to buy an extra suitcase to take home all of your fabulous finds!
