Tualatin Valley beckons travelers with a wealth of enriching experiences. Community Park is a 27.11-acre active park with an award-winning skate park located on the Tualatin River. The park has three sports fields, tennis and basketball courts, a playground, a skate park for skate boarding and in-line skating, four picnic shelters and a boat ramp with access to the Tualatin River.
The park is open sunrise to sunset except for the skate park, basketball courts and tennis courts, which are open until 10:30 p.m.
Ancestry Brewing pours its family-crafted ales at its Tualatin taproom. Scottish Red, English Mild, Irish Red, and Russian Imperial Stout are just some of the handcrafted beers found at this brewery. A food menu is available, and minors are allowed from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

From the May through September, Alder Creek offers family-friendly, paddle-away boat rentals at their rental location in Browns Ferry Park on the Tualatin River. Canoes, single and tandem recreational kayaks are available on a first-come, first-served basis (includes paddles and flotation devices). Instruction is also available.

People of all ages and abilities can enjoy a paddle trip on the meandering Tualatin River accompanied by an experienced guide. Tualatin Riverkeepers’ paddle trip leaders are passionate volunteers who will enlighten participants on the flora and fauna of the area while discussing water quality and conservation. Reservations are required and can be made online. Canoe rentals are available, and personal flotation devices must be worn on all trips.
