The Youth National Championships will be hosted at Tualatin Valley’s Portland Rock Gym Beaverton, June 27-July 2. Twenty-four national champions will be crowned as young athletes compete in Boulder, Lead/TR and Speed.

Meet BJ’s Coffee Co., OR’s Oldest Family-Owned Coffee Shop
Oregon native Becky Jo Saxe’s passion for coffee was ignited when she lived on a coffee bean farm in Kona, Hawaii. That experience shaped her journey, leading her to co-found BJ’s Coffee Co. in 1992, which holds the distinction of being the oldest family-owned coffee shop in the state and a testament to Becky Jo’s dedication to quality, community and the love of a perfectly brewed cup.
Beaverton Downtown Alliance and Hillsboro Downtown Partnership Earn Main Street Designations
Congratulations to the Beaverton Downtown Alliance for being officially designated as a 2025 Accredited Main Street America program. This accreditation is a recognition of BDA’s steadfast commitment to economic revitalization, historic preservation and inclusive community development.
This national accreditation represents the highest level of recognition from Main Street America, awarded only to those organizations demonstrating exemplary standards across leadership, programming, and impact. Beaverton is now one of just 821 communities nationwide to earn this designation in 2025.
The Hillsboro Downtown Partnership was designated as an 2025 Affiliate Main Street America program for meeting significant performance standards. Each year, Main Street America and its partners announce the list of designated programs to recognize their commitment to create meaningful improvements to their downtowns using preservation-based economic development and community revitalization.
Main Street America recognizes two tiers of national designation — Affiliate and Accredited. These designations are a powerful advocacy tool, signaling to local stakeholders, as well as city, state, and national funders, that a Main Street program has an established position within a nationwide movement with a 45-year proven track record of generating impressive economic returns, building local capacity, creating welcoming and inviting communities, and creating lasting impact.
