This year’s Independence Day celebrations are not as plentiful as in previous years; however, there are still several events planned to help you celebrate the 4th of July in Tualatin Valley this year. Here is the scoop on where to go and what to see throughout the valley.
Please note: Due to high temperatures and dry conditions, the use of fireworks are banned in the following areas: Portland, Forest Grove, Tigard, Tualatin and Wilsonville. This list will be updated if more cities enact fireworks bans.
Live Music at Hoffman Farms
One of Tualatin Valley’s signature u-pick farms, Hoffman Farms, is hosting the Rogue Bluegrass Band from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Get out to the farm, pick berries–the ultimate summer crop–and listen to live music for a family-friendly 4th of July. This event is free and admission to the farm is free.
Minor League Baseball & Fireworks
Hometown minor league team Hillsboro Hops play the Eugene Emeralds on Independence Day at Ron Tonkin Field. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. with a fun fireworks show after the game. Buy tickets >>>
4th of July Celebration & Fireworks — CANCELED
Forest Grove’s annual Fourth of July celebration begins at 6 p.m. and features food and live music. Fireworks begin at 9:40 p.m. Admission is free (donations welcome). Unfortunately, Forest Grove’s fireworks celebration has been canceled this year.

Hillsboro Sunday Farmers’ Market at Orenco Station is an open-air market featuring fresh, locally-grown produce, flowers and plants. The market also offers hot foods, desserts and drinks. The market is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tigard Farmers Market
The Tigard Area Farmers Market is a great resource for fresh and locally-grown produce, plants, food and crafts. Have your gardening questions answered by a Master Gardener and enjoy live entertainment throughout the season. Open Sunday, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
