The summer travel planning season is upon us, and 59.2% of American travelers already have trips imagined for their summer vacations. Travelers who do have summer travel plans have high levels of enthusiasm (87.5%), while economic anxiety may critically shape the landscape of travel this summer, with 58.6% citing financial reasons as a barrier to travel.
Americans who are planning to travel are seeking budget-friendly trips. Many are using rewards and loyalty programs (42.3%), booking budget-friendly accommodations (37.0%), sticking to a strict travel budget (32.2%).
Cozy Season Wrap-Up: Campaign Results
The Cozy Season campaign, which ran from September through January, was designed to attract day and overnight visitors to Tualatin Valley during the off-season. With an increased presence in the Seattle market, the campaign included digital, print and out-of-home (highway billboards) advertisements, Seattle-based travel influencers, lodging packages and a grand-prize giveaway.
Washington County Hotel Performance
February 2025
Washington County hotels continue to trend downward for the month of February. Occupancy decreased to 60.5% compared to February 2024, a 13.3% drop from 69.8%. Average daily rate dipped to $124.70, a $3.79 drop (-3.79%). Revenue per available room also decreased to $75.45, a $14.18 (-15.8%) drop over the same month last year.
