In August, Broadway Rose brings the musical Footloose to Tualatin Valley, August 1-September 1. A classic Shakespearean comedy gets turned on its head with Bag&Baggage Productions‘ staging of Much Ado About Nothing, July 11-28. Coming to Hillsboro from Glasgow’s “Bard in the Botanics,” Gordon Barr’s adaptations of one of the Bard’s most well-loved comedies turns central lovers Benedick and Beatrice into contemporary partners Benedick and Bertram while exploring love and its many facets with a fluid approach to gender. The Willamette Shakespeare company, now in its 11th season, produces quality, classical theater to educate, enrich and entertain residents and visitors to the Willamette Valley.
