Must-Visit Ramen Shops

As the days get rainier–hello, rainy season!–we’re always looking for ways to warm up and get cozy. It’s officially soup season and Oregon’s Tualatin Valley has a range of ramen shops serving up delicious and warming bowls. Here’s our list of must-visit ramen shops.

Afuri Izakaya

Order a bowl of Afuri’s signature yuzu shio ramen in this downtown Beaverton location. This light broth is packed with umami ingredients and notes of citrus. The restaurant boasts using the same techniques as its original location near the Afuri mountain in Japan.

Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya

Located in the outskirts of Beaverton, Kizuki prides itself on serving ramen dishes as authentic and delicious as those found in Japan. Using the highest quality ingredients, the pork, veggie and chicken broths are simmered for hours resulting in delicious ramens full of depth and rich flavors.

Koku Ramen & Bites

Koku serves a variety of ramen dishes from hearty meaty dishes to vegan ramen with vegetable broth, sprouts, bamboo shoots and seaweed. Just want a bowl of noodles and broth? They’ve got you covered.

Mugen Noodle Bar

The variety of ramen bowls at Mugen are astounding. Try a hazelnut tantanmen, with hazelnut milk, scallion, corn and more. Or a curry ramen prepared with housemade curry tori paitan, organic noodles and shimeji mushrooms.

Note: Some restaurants may be open for takeout only. By state mandate, masks are required indoors until seated.
